Why I Work at Strategic Inflection Points
Early on, I learned that success has less to do with titles or linear progression and far more to do with how well you understand and apply your core talents, values, and judgment at moments of strategic inflection. I’ve repeatedly stepped off paths that looked successful on paper when they no longer aligned — not out of rebellion, but out of clarity.
That pattern has defined my career.
From rising quickly inside a traditional financial institution to deliberately walking away from a clear runway to senior leadership, I learned to distinguish momentum from direction. Since then, I’ve built my work by identifying inflection points early, questioning default advice, and applying my strengths in novel contexts — often ahead of the market.
That mindset carried me from the earliest days of the Internet, through entrepreneurship, to shaping how organizations think about digital work, growth, and change. Along the way, my career has spanned industries, borders, recessions, hypergrowth environments, organizational upheaval—including restructurings and mergers—and major technological shifts, including the emergence of AI, without losing coherence.
What I discovered is that traditional career frameworks rarely serve people facing complex, consequential decisions. I tried them. They didn’t help. They were designed to optimize within existing models, not to explore what’s possible beyond them.
I didn’t become a coach because I loved coaching—I became a coach because I’ve lived the decisions my clients are facing.
I know what it’s like to stand at a crossroads where the next “logical” step feels insufficient — where the real question isn’t what comes next, but what kind of career and leadership path you actually want to build. I’ve made those calls without certainty, often with more skeptics than supporters, and with the long game firmly in mind.
Today, my work is about helping accomplished professionals do the same — to think strategically about their careers, clarify real options, and move forward with confidence before certainty exists. Not by following a playbook, but by learning when to rewrite it.
Because the most meaningful careers aren’t linear. They’re intentional.
I Believe in Clarity Before Confidence
You don’t need certainty to move forward. In a world of competing demands, meaningful decisions come from deliberate reflection—not rushing to act.
Leaders who pause ensure their choices align with who they are, not what others expect. Sometimes ongoing coaching isn’t required—just a strategic partner offering lived experience, structured thinking, and earned perspective.
I’m passionate about helping leaders define their north star, guiding them to act with clarity, agency, and meaningful impact on their own terms.
